AssessDirect is our medico-legal assessment service for clients requiring communication and educational technology as a result clinical negligence.

Our therapists, technologists and teachers offer a unique interdisciplinary medico-legal service that includes detailed individual assessments conducted in an informal and sympathetic setting, high quality professional reports, attendance at case conferences and court, and other follow-up services appropriate to your clients. We are at the heart of a network of health and educational professionals, and our knowledge in the field of assistive technology and alternative communication is unsurpassed.

We work with children and adults who face communication challenges because of a learning or physical disability. We provide advice and expertise, especially for those with cerebral palsy, in the field of Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) and Assistive Technology (AT). Our specialist assessments for people with complex physical and communication disabilities take place at our purpose-built centre in Oxford or within your client’s own environment.

Following a successful claim, we can provide further AAC and AT assessment, plus support and training services for your client and his/her family.
